How this processes your file
Whatever you paste is encoded directly into the QR code. That is the whole design, and it is the opposite of how every send-to-phone service works: those upload your text, store it, and give you a short link to scan — so the content sits on someone else's infrastructure, usually with no stated retention, and the link eventually dies. Encoding it directly means nothing is stored anywhere, the page works offline, and the code keeps working as long as the screen or paper it is on. The cost is a length limit, which is what the density figure reports, and that is the honest trade rather than a hidden one.

Common problems and fixes
- My phone will not scan it
- Usually density. Shorten the text, raise screen brightness, or move the phone slightly further away — cameras often fail because they are too close to focus.
- It says the code is too long
- The payload exceeds what one code can carry. Shorten it, or use a link to the content rather than the content itself.
- Can I send a file?
- No. A QR code carries text. A link to a file works; the file itself does not.
Frequently asked questions
Is my text uploaded?
No. It is encoded into the code itself and never leaves this tab. Services that give you a short link have uploaded and stored it — that is how the short link works.
Does the code expire?
No. There is nothing on a server to expire. The code works for as long as whatever it is displayed on lasts.
Why is there a length limit?
Because the data is genuinely inside the code. More characters means more modules, and past a point the squares become too small for a phone camera to resolve.
