The best way to reach us is by email: contact@brightscalelabs.com. There are no accounts and no support portal — a message gets to a person, and that person is usually Jobi Cheriyan, who builds the tools.

What to get in touch about

  • A wrong result. If a tool gives an answer you can show is incorrect, this is the most useful thing you can tell us. We treat it as a priority — see our accuracy policy.
  • An accessibility barrier. If something is hard to use with assistive technology, tell us the page and what happened.
  • Our site-checker in your logs. The About page explains what it is and how to block it; email us if you have concerns.
  • A tool suggestion, or a question about how something works.

What makes a report we can act on

A wrong result is the report we most want and the one most often too vague to chase. The three things that turn a message into a fix are the page you were on, the exact input you gave it, and the answer you expected instead. With those, a wrong calculation can usually be reproduced in minutes and corrected the same day. Without them, we are guessing at which of several hundred tools you meant.

For a browser-specific problem — something that renders wrongly, a control that will not respond, a test that never finishes — the browser and version, and the operating system, are worth including. A surprising share of these turn out to be a single browser’s handling of one API, which is invisible to us until somebody says which browser. Screenshots help for anything visual. If a tool produced a report you can export, attaching it is faster than describing it.

For accessibility barriers, tell us what you were using — screen reader and browser combination, keyboard only, magnification, reduced motion — and what happened at the point it broke down. Those reports are treated as defects rather than as requests, and they are the category where a single message most often improves every page on the site at once.

What we cannot help with

We cannot remotely diagnose or repair your specific device — the tools are self-service, and we do not have access to your hardware. For a fault a tool has flagged, your device manufacturer or a local technician is the right next step.

We also cannot recover data from a failing drive, act on your behalf with an internet provider or a retailer, or tell you what a diagnostic report means for a device we cannot see. Where a tool exists to interpret output you already have, it is the faster route than an email — and where a result is genuinely ambiguous, that is usually a sign the tool should say so more clearly, which is itself worth reporting.

Because there is no account system, there is nothing for us to look up about you and nothing to reset. Any results you have saved live in your own browser’s storage on your own device, so clearing site data removes them permanently and we hold no copy to restore.
