Fingerprint Uniqueness Score

See the signals that identify your browser without a single cookie.

Computed in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored.

How this test works

Tracking scripts do not need cookies. They ask your browser dozens of small questions — screen size, timezone, processor count, how your GPU renders a shape — and combine the answers into an identifier that survives clearing your cookies. This page asks the same questions, hashes the answers, and shows you what came back.

What the results mean

Fingerprint
A hash of every signal below. It changes if any of them changes, which is why window size alone can alter it.
Signals available
How many questions your browser answered specifically rather than withholding or freezing. Fewer is better for privacy.
Canvas rendering
Drawing the same shape produces subtly different pixels depending on your GPU, driver and font rendering. It is one of the most distinctive signals there is.
Graphics
Your GPU vendor and model, exposed through WebGL. Browsers with anti-fingerprinting protection hide this.

Common problems and fixes

My fingerprint changed between visits
Usually a resized window, a browser update or a different display. Some browsers also randomise signals deliberately, which is a protection working rather than a fault.
I use a VPN but everything is still readable
Expected. A VPN hides your address; it changes nothing on this page. Fingerprinting and IP tracking are separate problems, and hiding your address solves only one.

Frequently asked questions

How unique is my fingerprint?

We cannot tell you, and we would rather say so than guess. Measuring rarity requires comparing you against a large population, which means storing visitors’ fingerprints — exactly what a page like this should not do. Sites quoting you precise odds are comparing you against their own visitors, who are not a representative sample of the web.

Can I stop fingerprinting?

Not completely, but you can reduce it. Browsers with built-in protection freeze or randomise the most distinctive signals. Counter-intuitively, piling on privacy extensions often makes you more identifiable, because an unusual combination of blockers is itself a signal.

Do you store my fingerprint?

No. It is computed in your browser and never sent anywhere. You can confirm that in your network panel — there is no request carrying it.
